2019 Hall of Fame Award

AWARD INFORMATION

The Hall of Fame recognizes the successes and achievements of world language teachers during the past year. FFLA members can nominate colleagues (who are also members). Winners will be notified by May 1st and must register by 11:59 p.m. September 15, 2019. Those who fail to register by the deadline will forfeit the award. Winners will be listed on the FFLA Website and honored at the conference in Orlando in October.

Nominations should be based on merit and contributions to the benefit of the profession. It should never be because the nominator likes the person and thinks that that person should be nominated.


REQUIREMENTS

  1. Must be an FFLA member a minimum of 5 years
  2. Presented twice (2 times) at FFLA or language affiliate* and 1 out of state conference and/or published an article in a peer review journal.
  3. Held a position in a regional, statewide or international association.

*language affiliation can be regional, national or international

Note: evidence of these requirements must be presented to be considered.



SUBMISSION

Submission for this award needs to be in a WORD doc, Times New Roman, 12 point, double spaced; sent to awards@ffla.us. Needs to be in the order of what is required for consideration.

Send the digital headshot of the nominee to awards@ffla.us with the nominee's name in the body of the email; the email subject should be "2019 Hall of Fame Nominee Headshot".

Late or incomplete submissions will NOT be considered; submissions are due by 11:59pm Eastern Standard Time on the date given.
