Call for Proposals

Theme:

Language Blueprints: Engineering Access for the Future Global Citizen

Submission Deadline:

March 31, 2026, NLT - 6:00 p.m. CT

We invite you to submit a session proposal for our 2-day Summer Professional Learning Institute. We are looking for "Master Builders"—innovative practitioners from public, private, and diverse districts—to share their blueprints for success.

Presentation Strands

We are seeking 60-minute workshops or 30-minute "Micro-Lab" presentations in the following areas:

  • Foundation & Access (The Universal Design): Strategies for differentiated instruction, scaffolding for diverse learners, and creating inclusive environments where every student (neurodiverse, heritage, or novice) has an entry point.
  • Modern Toolkits (The Innovation): Practical applications of AI, VR, and digital media that move beyond "gadgetry" to enhance authentic proficiency and cultural decoding.
  • Future-Proofing (The Global Citizen): Shifting pedagogy toward 21st-century skills, interdisciplinary connections, and real-world advocacy for language programs in a 2026+ landscape.
  • The Classical & Visual Bridge: Specialized sessions for Latin and ASL that highlight how these unique disciplines provide the ultimate "blueprint" for modern communication and cognitive development.

Submission Requirements

Please submit a brief proposal (max 300 words) that includes:

  1. Session Title: A catchy, "blueprint-themed" title.
  2. The "Blueprint" (Objective): What is the specific takeaway or "tool" teachers will leave with?
  3. The "Access" (Inclusivity): How does your session ensure relevance across different language types or student ability levels?
  4. The "Future" (Innovation): How does this prepare students for the world of tomorrow?
