SUMMER INSTITUTES
All professional development institutes are FREE for members! Non-members may attend for $30, which includes FFLA membership for the remainder of 2026, which includes member pricing for our annual conference in October. Each Spring and Summer Institute includes multiple sessions from local educators who are eager to share their best practices. Thanks to corporate sponsors, each institute has a keynote speaker and a free continental breakfast and lunch!

The Summer Institute has become a wonderful tradition of collaboration between UCF’s Department of Modern Languages and Literatures and the Florida Foreign Language Association (FFLA), bringing together educators to exchange ideas, explore innovative teaching practices, and strengthen the world language community. Dr. Alla Kourova and Irina Pidberejna sincerely appreciate the support of the new Department Chair, Dr. Yamile Silva, as well as the generous partnership of Vista Higher Learning and Katrina Griffin, whose collaboration helps make the Summer Institute a meaningful and successful annual event.
